Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees
Northampton County Chapter
William C. Pfeffer, Jr. Teacher Grant
The Northampton County Chapter of the PASR is offering financial grants to participating educators in the public schools
in Northampton County. Practicing educators in the elementary, middle and high schools are eligible to complete and submit
applications for consideration in alternating years.
Five grants worth $200 each are presently being awarded in the spring of each year.
Letters of invitation are annually mailed to each School District Superintendent and school district building principal
sharing information on the process and providing the application which is used as a part of the process.
Selection of the winning applications is made by a committee of retired educators early each calendar year. The grant
recipients are invited to attend and be recognized at the early summer luncheon of the NCC-PASR. In addition, their financial awards are often presented to the winners during a school
faculty meeting.
More information is available by contacting the committee chairperson listed in the committee directory.
Continuing
Education Scholarships
A donation of $100.00 will be contributed toward scholarship funds at the Bethlehem
Area Vocational-Technical School Bridges Foundation and the Career Institute of Technology (CIT) Foundation in Easton. These
funds provide financial assistance to students in these schools who wish to continue their education or practice their vocational
trade.
